Theater Thikwa & hannsjana (DE): Bauchgefühl + Workshop

Who wants to have a baby and shouldn't? And who doesn't want to have babies but should? In a birth preparation course, performers from Theater Thikwa and the feminist collective hannsjana negotiate the big political questions that are directed at their bellies. In a humorous stage show, they take responsibility for themselves and others. They develop new forms of reproduction, parenthood and care - or consciously decide against sharing their bodies and their attention with anyone.
Theater Thikwa has already been a guest at Mittenmang several times, including with an evening created together with hannsjana: Diane for a day was one of the festival favorites in 2019. Now they are back with Bauchgefühl - entertaining, thought-provoking, but above all with a fine sense of humor.

Workshop: On May 31, before the performance, there will be a free workshop to accompany the play Bauchgefühl by Theater Thikwa and hannsjana. Together, the participants will explore the themes and scenic elements of the play. At the end there is a somewhat different discussion round. Conceived and led in a mixed-abled team by performer Konstantin Langenick and theater educator Saskia Neuthe from Theater Thikwa.
