THEATRON 2024: BIBLIOTEKA, ELL + YA/NEL

In the organizer's words:

The cozy atmosphere and Free admission to the THEATRON MUSIKSOMMER has been attracting numerous visitors to the Seebühne stage in the Olympic Park for years. And the Feierwerk will once again be there for six days in August with a varied live program. So pack your picnic blankets and enjoy the concerts on the steps in front of the Olympic Lake. You'll have the best view of the stage. You can relax and unpack your snack or enjoy the food from the many stalls on the grounds. We look forward to seeing you!

The acts

BIBLIOTEKA

Led by singer/bassist Mary Robins, BIBLIOTEKA mixes punk, grunge and garage into a rousing and upbeat rock. Boisterous shows and energetic performances have become the band's trademark. In 2022, the band released their debut album "Pretty Ugly" on Freakout Records in Seattle. The album was praised by KEXP for being highly personal without sacrificing the band's penchant for big melodies, and showcases BIBLIOTEKA's distinctive and captivating musical style. In the fall of 2023, BIBLIOTEKA embarked on their first international tour to Mexico and New York and played their first live session at the KEXP studio. ELL

With a female voice and few instruments,ELL combines the beauty of a percussion drill with the power of a fragrant cherry blossom. Or vice versa? Who can judge that! Especially if you've never seen this noise-pop duo live. Lisa-Anna (she/her) and Lennart (he/him) may be understaffed according to the rock band dictionary, but they lack absolutely nothing. This was demonstrated by over 30 shows in their debut year as a live band in 2022. Likeable? "Yep", authentic? "Oh yes!", Sound? "Huh, how do they do that?!?!". Audiences in German-speaking countries are at ELL's mercy and usually leave shows with a cemented grin, a new hairstyle and that warm, cozy feeling you get when you've been lovingly made a sandwich.
