THEATRON 2024: WELTUNTERGÄNG, MIMII + ARM & HÄSSLICH

In the organizer's words:

The cozy atmosphere and Free admission to the THEATRON MUSIKSOMMER has been attracting numerous visitors to the Seebühne stage in the Olympic Park for years. And the Feierwerk will once again be there for six days in August with a varied live program. So pack your picnic blankets and enjoy the concerts on the steps in front of the Olympic Lake. You'll have the best view of the stage. You can relax and unpack your snack or enjoy the food from the many stalls on the grounds. We look forward to seeing you!

The acts

WELTUNTERGÄNG

WELTUNTERGÄNG - that's L One, grasime, LeoLex and ditu. A rap crew, a supergroup, a posse, a gang. Until now, the protagonists have mainly been known for their solo projects, but they have been on the road together under the name WELTUNTERGÄNG since 2010. After 13 years of Gäng history, they have well over 200 live shows in Germany, Europe and the USA and more than 20 releases to their credit. The Munich rap underground would be a different place without them. The DIY flag has been kept flying high not only through their constant presence on the city's stages, but also through their own series of events, their own label and several collabo projects.

After the crew members have concentrated more on their own and other projects in recent years, WELTUNTERGÄNG is now back as if it had never been away. Their first and last joint album "Der Aufstieg und Fall der Weltuntergäng" will be released in October 2023 on the Leipzig label daily concept.

On 19 tracks, ditu, LeoLex and grasime take an often gloomy and sometimes optimistic look into the future, enriched with personal experiences and musings. L One provides a sound backdrop in which productions of a classical nature are combined with modern approaches on meticulously crafted grooves. MIMII

"I bring movement into this stubbornness"

MIMII grew up in the streets of Rödelheim and in Butzbach. She first gained visibility as a rapper in her former adopted home of Mainz before moving to Darmstadt. From there, she lives and loves culture - and with her first two EPs "3 Meter Straßenlicht" and "Hunter", she has become an underground insider tip for all hip-hop fans in search of deep lyrics and warm, twisted beats. Between abstraction and disarming honesty, MIMII offers her fans one thing above all: a space for identification. She dedicates her first track to rap itself, which is a form of "therapy" for her and many others. She performed on numerous stages - from hip-hop jams to philosophy exhibitions - before finally bagging her first album deal with the 365XX label in 2022. The longplayer "Level H2O", which was released digitally and on vinyl on April 28, 2023, stands - like the symbol of water - for transformation. That everything is in flux. (Source: booking agency)

ARM & HÄSSLICH

The bilingual rap crew ARM & HÄSSLICH (producer Mr. Polaroid, rapper soihe (French) and rapper Peefke (German)), based in Munich, make grown rap on sample-based beats. Their music is a mixture of personal experiences, references to the graffiti cosmos, social criticism and the resulting striving for change.
