THEATRON 2025: LIZKI & FLO KOLA

The cozy atmosphere and free admission to the THEATRON MUSIKSOMMER have been attracting numerous visitors to the Seebühne stage in the Olympic Park for decades. And the Feierwerk is also back in August with a varied live program, this year even on 14 days. So pack your picnic blankets and enjoy the concerts on the steps in front of the Olympic Lake. You'll have the best view of the stage. You can relax and unpack your snack or enjoy the many stalls on the grounds. We look forward to seeing you!

The Theatron MusikSommer is organized by the Cultural Department of the City of Munich in cooperation with the Social Department of the City of Munich, the Feierwerk e.V., and the Munich Media Center of the JFF - Jugend Film Fernsehen e.V., with the support of Olympiapark München GmbH and Hieber Lindberg.

The acts

LIZKI

LIZKI is the solo project of songwriter and singer Lena Britzelmair, who moves in the electronic realm between alternative pop, art pop and hyperpop.

Her sound is permeated by various musical breaks that are pleasantly irritating and, together with her distinctive voice, merge into catchy songs. Her debut album"Forward" was released at the end of 2021 on Seayou Records and was described by record tests as "dancing on the ruins".

The SZ included her in its small selection of artists who will be heard from a lot in 2022 and asked itself "How often can an artist burn to emerge even more dazzling from her own ashes like a Phoenix?".

This was followed by international shows in Germany, Austria and the USA, for example at Pianos New York City, Sommernachtstraum Olympiapark, Waves Festival, Poolbar Festival, Impulstanz Festival, Lunatic Festival, Pace Festival and Theatron Pfingstfestival, with concert reviews such as: "Lizki performs with unpretentious but unmistakable star potential, many people want to take a photo with her after the concert." (SZ). Performances, airplay and rotation on FM4, Radio Eins, BR Puls and Ö1, among others.

At the beginning of 2023, LIZKI immediately attracted attention with the single"This Time I" by and with Ant Antic. The joint single was a foretaste of the collaboration between the two for their new EP"Easy", which was released in the fall of the same year.

Thematically, it is about mental health and the process of finding your way out of an emotional hole. Being frozen, letting your emotions get the better of you and then going off the rails as soon as your inner turmoil makes its way out. The thrill of losing yourself briefly in order to find yourself again - or as FM4 writes: "People are not clockwork, nothing runs in a linear fashion, especially not when the brain chemistry is partying again (...)".

Musically, this is realized through brute synths, instruments that are distorted beyond recognition, which are mostly intangible and wafting, while the vocals are sometimes overloaded with effects, then again intimate, unfiltered and vulnerable to form the contrast. LIZKI is an act that is often difficult to pin down musically, which is precisely why it is so interesting.

Her new album"Losing Grip in a Chaotic World" will be released on Seayou Records in fall 2025, and LIZKI's first single"Back Out Alive" uses new facets of hyper-electro pop with rocking guitars and driving bass. (Source: Artist)
