THEATRON 2025: SPIRIT MOTHER & MISS MELLOW

In the organizer's words:

The cozy atmosphere and free admission to the THEATRON MUSIKSOMMER have been attracting numerous visitors to the Seebühne stage in the Olympic Park for decades. And the Feierwerk is also back in August with a varied live program, this year even on 14 days. So pack your picnic blankets and enjoy the concerts on the steps in front of the Olympic Lake. You'll have the best view of the stage. You can relax and unpack your snack or enjoy the many stalls on the grounds. We look forward to seeing you!

The acts

Spirit Mother

SPIRIT MOTHER is a heavy rock band, with sound through a folk-informed and classical lens. Their dynamic and imposing wall of sound, paired with a driving backbeat, captivates with atmospheric strings and haunting vocals.

Originally consisting of vocalist and bassist Armand Lance and violinist SJ, the lineup has since solidified with the addition of guitarist Sean McCormick and drummer Landon Cisneros.

Lead singer and songwriter Armand Lance develops the foundations of the music in the attic of his rural ranch. The group meets in this cabin to write and develop their repertoire before touring nationally and internationally.

SPIRIT MOTHER was critically acclaimed for their first album"Cadets": "There's a good chance we'll look back on this album as an early gem of a band with a lot to come" - Sleeping Shaman.

In 2020, SPIRIT MOTHER was hired for a pandemic project to create a live recording/concert film in the style of "Pink Floyd's" Live at Pompeii. Fans and critics worldwide adored the band in "Live In The Mojave Desert Volume 3" released by Giant Rock Records and Heavy Psych Sounds Records.

MISS MELLOW

If there's one characteristic that makes this four-piece band stand out, it's easy to spot: having fun with the music.

Since its foundation in 2019,MISS MELLOW has been exploring psychedelic soundscapes full of joy. The band has found its home in the playgrounds of the 70s. The Munich-based band's sound mixes herbaceous psych with sprawling jam parts, clean funk ensnares dirty fuzz, fat stoner riffs meet psychedelic escapades. Despite all the differences, the harmonious interplay within the musical diversity is captivating and invites you to both dance and dive in.

The Munich-based band released their highly acclaimed debut album in 2023. An overwhelming online response was followed by a vinyl pressing, which also found its echo in the German media landscape. "Arrangement-wise", the record was "great tennis" according to Legacy magazine, but at the same time "pleasantly unacademic and acceptable to the majority".

Their second LP,"Dancing Through the Earth", followed on May 23, 2025 via the Greek label Sound Effect Records. MISS MELLOW's psychedelic sounds are dressed in more progressive garb than ever before, a wild yet harmonious fusion ride through the earth's core - where you are never completely safe from pleasant surprises.
