In the organizer's words:

The exhibition is an installation of handmade carpets and mirrors by artist Sophie Ziser at Schaubüdchen in Bochum (Ursulastr. 24). Theme: WOMEN*. Being and becoming a woman is always political and highly emotional. The exhibition is dedicated to these emotions: friendship, anger, community and many more. It deliberately plays with the softness and fragility of the medium of carpet in order to find and relearn a mindful and appreciative approach to these characteristics.
Because community is an elementary component of the theme, visitors will have the opportunity to work together on a collaborative carpet at certain times.
