The Spanish musician Javier Díez-Ena is a master of the theremin, which was invented a hundred years ago and is considered to be the first electronic instrument ever. It requires enormous concentration as it is played without contact.

Together with percussionist Gonzalo Maestre, Javier Díez-Ena creates a world of electro, surf and klezmer, as well as classics transformed into electromagnetic hip-hop or heavy basic industrial ambient sounds. The result is driving rhythmic sounds that you can even dance to. Above all, however, the fusion of the ethereal theremin music with drum percussion creates an enormous suction effect, which is further enhanced by the audio-reactive visual accompaniment.
