The trio around Cologne trumpeter & cornetist Thimo Niesterok proves that a new generation is making its way in the professional swing scene: full of energy, fresh charm and with their unmistakable and authentic swing, the three musicians take the audience back to the era of the 30s and 40s, the time of Louis Armstrong, Benny Goodman and the young Frank Sinatra.

Thimo Niesterok (trp, cnt) is one of the most sought-after young musicians on the European swing and traditional jazz scene. He studied at the Cologne University of Music and Dance, played various tours worldwide (e.g. Sweden, India, Japan, South Korea) and has already worked with renowned musicians such as Chris Hopkins, Engelbert Wrobel, Dan Barrett, Emil Mangelsdorff, Joscho Stephan and many more.

Tijn Trommelen (g, voc) grew up in the jazz city of Breda, where the renowned Breda Jazz Festival, one of the most important festivals for early jazz in Europe, takes place every year. Trommelen studied jazz guitar at the Fontys Conservatorium Tilburg and is one of the most promising young musicians on the swing scene. With a voice reminiscent of crooners like Frank Sinatra, he captivates audiences in no time at all.

Stefan Rey (b) graduated from the Cologne University of Music and Dance in 2014 with top marks in jazz double bass with Dietmar Fuhr and Dieter Manderscheid and is known as an outstanding bass virtuoso on the German jazz scene. Rey has already played with numerous well-known musicians and bands, such as the WDR Big Band, Jeff Cascaro, Chris Hopkins and currently as a permanent bassist with Tom Gäbel.
