An evening by and with Katja Heinrich and Kompagnons
To kick off the new event format "ThirstDay", the trio led by actress Katja Heinrich invites you to an evening full of stories and poetry from the 1930s. ThirstDay is aimed at anyone who regularly seeks culture away from the usual: open, inspiring and diverse.
Kurt Weill, Bertold Brecht, Marlene Dietrich, Simone de Beauvoir, Lotte Lenya, Scott Fitzgerald, Hemingway and Ella Fitzgerald - we encounter all of these personalities when Katja Heinrich (words and vocals), Pascal Schweren (piano) and Robert Beck (clarinet) ask the question "What is this thing called love?". After their earlier excursions into the 1920s, in their new program the three embark on a musical and literary journey into the existential 1930s, in which it's all or nothing, life and death - and love in times of hatred.
ThirstDay - your thirst quencher on Thursday
In the new event format "ThirstDay", artistic impulses meet unusual locations: Whether it's a concert, reading, performance or creative workshop - every ThirstDay, a colorful bouquet of ideas, impressions and perspectives is created on the grounds of the Zollverein UNESCO World Heritage Site. A wide variety of locations on the Zollverein site are brought into focus and shown in a new light through the changing program. The focus is not only on the experience, but also on the exchange and encounter with others, with the site and - last but not least - with oneself.
