Claudia de la Torre's works operate at the interface of print media, artist's books and installations. Born in Mexico City in 1986, the artist explores the structures and relationships of surfaces, forms and ideas, pursuing a minimalist and conceptual approach.

She lives and works in Berlin. In 2011, she founded the publishing house backbonebooks, which understands and develops the book as a historical and contemporary medium. Her new book work "The Waves" will be shown for the first time in the exhibition.
Andreas Keil, born in 1970, lives and works in Cologne. It is impossible to escape the poetic spatial effect of his painting objects (wooden found objects covered in several layers of paint). "Andreas Keil's painting can certainly be regarded as radical painting - both comprise a self-referential art that deals with themes of its inherent painterly qualities, in particular with the 'sensation' of color, but also with image carrier, surface and structure in their interaction," says art and film scholar Elke Kania.

Claudia de la Torre and Andres Keil are represented in our gallery for the first time with a joint exhibition. Andreas Keil, born in 1970, lives and works in Cologne.
