thought Golo Mann when he heard his uncle and father discussing politics. But what about the political judgment of these two great authors of the 20th century? And how did the two sons from a good family develop into ardent opponents of authoritarianism? In his double biography (S. Fischer), Hans Wißkirchen, President of the German Thomas Mann Society, explores the relationship between the brothers and analyzes their work, in which politics and literature cannot be separated. Friedhelm Marx, who deals with the political Thomas Mann in his graphic novel "Thomas Mann - 1949 Rückkehr in eine fremde Heimat" (Knesebeck // together with Magdalena Adomeit and Julian Voloj), will moderate the event.
