THREAD BY THREAD - A HAND-WEAVING DAY-RETREAT

The workshop will take place in a carefully selected environment: a beautiful, bright room, a large table with a wooden weaving frame (50 cm) provided, high quality natural yarns and fibers and a mood board. You will work with materials such as raffia, paper yarns, corn, hemp and textile scraps - all carefully selected and in a calm, natural color palette with subtle accents. The day will be accompanied by a hand weaving manual, gentle scents and the culinary creations of Forkk Studio. This gathering invites connection and creative exchange among like-minded people and will be led by textile designer Karlotta Bott (Studio Bott). The workshop will be held in German, with optional support in English, and at the end of the day you will leave not only with your hand-woven work, but also with a deeper connection to the material, the process and the beauty of slow creation.

WORKSHOP SCHEDULE:

11:00 - Welcome circle and drink + introduction to weaving, waste and fibers

11:30 - Karlotta gives inspiration through a visual mood board and her own textile handwriting

12:00 - Setting up the loom, first steps

13:00 - Break + light lunch from forkk

14:00 - Learn how to weave (textile patterns, sophisticated techniques)

15:30 - Creative session - individual weaving, mentoring

16:30 - Reflection, photography

17:00 - End
