Three of a Kind Feat. Alexandrina Simeon

The three musicians got to know and appreciate each other while working together on a project with the Munich Modern Jazz Orchestra: compositions by Astor Piazzolla arranged for jazz big band.

This gave rise to the plan to play together in a small chamber music setting. The trio with accordion, clarinet and guitar is ideal for Piazzolla's great tangos. Here Vladislav Cojocaru can show off his incredible virtuosity on the accordion - and Mark Pusker his beautiful tone on the clarinet.

Alexandrina's repertoire ranges from classical music to soul, pop and gospel. As a soloist she has sung Duke Ellington's "Sacred Concert" and Steve Reich's "music for 18 musicians". She gives singing workshops and is a lecturer for singing at the Department of Music Education and Music Didactics at the Catholic University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt.
