The sounds flow, create a sublime unity and allow the soul to come to rest - this is what it feels like when the Ensemble Tiburtina sings.

Founded in Prague in 2008, the women's vocal ensemble specializes in Gregorian chant, medieval polyphony and contemporary music and is known for its intense interpretations. Their Dortmund program reflects the influences of Emperor Charles IV and Charlemagne on Czech culture. Tiburtina is one of Europe's best ensembles for medieval music and regularly performs at renowned festivals such as the Tage Alter Musik Regensburg, the Festival Oude Muziek Utrecht and KLANGVOKAL in 2018. Dortmund's St. Mary's Church offers the six singers under Barbora Kabátková a perfect backdrop for their stunning singing.
