TIME HEARD NOTHING (Nor Did It Care)

Music and Sound Design for Visual Media (MSVM) is pleased to present TIME HEARD NOTHING (Nor Did It Care), a first-year bachelor's student exhibition on Catalyst's Funkhaus campus.

Spanning 15 home countries, the students' works blend film scores with performative research - from Icelandic farmer chants and personal cooking shows to a live investigation of digital footprints, and beyond. As a travelogue through modern life, the exhibition considers notions of exile, home, belonging, bureaucracy and the spectacle.

MSVM is an interdisciplinary bachelor's program where students work with sound, image and space. Their teachers are professional film composers, electronic music producers and sound designers, as well as filmmakers, artists and curators, giving them wide-ranging support and an entryway into new professional networks. As they progress through the program, they become experts in collaboration, and they can personalise each project to their prefered industry or medium: from film and television to gaming, exhibitions, advertising and the performing arts. Their first-year exhibition is curated by their teachers, Roshanak Amini and Uroš Pajović, while supported by many other workshops, such as Moving Image, Game Audio, Installation Praxis, Sound Design, Scoring for Visual Media, Audio Production, and much more.
