Timeless Stories - Ein Musical-Konzert

A musical concert with soloists, choir and orchestra from Floodlight Musicals e.V.

Floodlight Pocket Size presents: "Timeless Stories", a colorful mixture of various musical songs. Many musicals have their origins in novels, legends and other writings. They are timeless tales and adaptations of literary classics. The following works have not only inspired musical composers but also our concert program:

• Exodus (the second book of Moses)
• Beauty and the Beast by Gabrielle-Suzanne de Villeneuve (1740)
• The String of Pearls: A domestic Romance (1846)
• Jane Eyre by Charlotte Brontë (1847)
• Les Misérables by Victor Hugo (1862)
• Le Avventure Di Pinocchio: Storia Di Un Burattino by Carlo Collodi (1881)
• The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde by Robert Louis Stevenson (1886)
• The Wizard of Oz by Lyman Frank Baum (1900) and Wicked: The Witches of Oz by Gregory Maguire (1995).

Some songs also come from our club history. These are songs that still buzz through your head years later. Unforgotten. Timeless. And ready to come to life once again on stage.

Why "Pocket Size"?

We held our first rehearsal in October 2024 with around ten people under the project name "Floodlight Pocket Size". The plan was to create a space to get creative together, experiment and see what came out of it.
We now have around 50 people involved in front of and behind the scenes.

The large musical productions by Floodlight Musicals e.V. are often complex and elaborate. We rehearse several times a week; we need a stage set, costumes, props and much more.
Floodlight Pocket Size, on the other hand, is a low-threshold musical format that enables everyone to take part.

You can look forward to a Floodlight experience with a minimalist approach.
