timeloops / II - ULRICH POLSTER
In the organizer's words:
The title timeloops / II brings together four works that reflect in different ways on the passing of time in various constellations. In an open interaction of different visual and acoustic sources and forms of expression, a complex structure of personal, historical and historic levels of meaning proliferates. Images filtered from the experience of the moment are linked back to historical places and events.
The installation is complemented by the visualization of the Bonito Urban Space project, which Polster carried out in Tbilisi from July 2023 - June 2024. The starting point of his works is often his own movement in space. In Bonito Urban Space, he reversed the working method. By remaining at one point, committed to the principle of serendipity as the chance observation of something not originally sought, he opened up a further perspective of his work that emphasizes the communicative character of artistic processes.
