On October 09, 2025 Tobias Meinhart will present his new album "Sonic River" live at Theater Regensburg. The album, which was released on April 18, 2025 on Meinhart's own label Sonic River Records, shows the saxophonist as a master of modern jazz.

Born near Regensburg and firmly established in the New York jazz scene for over 15 years, Meinhart combines groove-driven jazz with poetic storytelling on "Sonic River", inspired by literary icons such as Rainer Maria Rilke and Paul Auster. He is supported by top-class musicians: Sara Serpa (vocals), Charles Altura (guitar), Eden Ladin (piano), Matt Penman (bass) and Obed Calvaire (drums).

The concert promises a musical journey full of sophistication and warmth, in which Meinhart expresses his own voice with depth and courage. "Sonic River" not only stands for the flow of music, but also for Tobias Meinhart's journey between his Bavarian homeland and the vibrant jazz metropolis of New York.
