Tophouse

TopHouse is a Montana-based Americana/folk band consisting of Jesse Davis, Joe Larson, Will Cook, and Andy LaFave.

The band was formed as a duo in 2015 when two music composition students, Jesse Davis (guitarist/songwriter) and William Cook (fiddle), realized they enjoyed making music together. Lacking both a drummer and a singer, the first version of TopHouse was a virtuosic "Celtic folk" instrumental duo. For about a year, TopHouse performed in parking garages in the cold Missoula air because "the reverb was so cool" there. Eventually, William and Jesse climbed the career ladder into the illustrious spheres of coffee shops, breweries and weddings.

Joseph Larson, a singer, songwriter and guitar/banjo player, joined the band in 2016. Joe wrote and performed songs, while Jesse's songs like "Where Are You" and "Summer Never Leaves" - which up to that point were just instrumental violin pieces - finally came into their own. Joseph's addition helped TopHouse achieve local fame: The Missoulian named TopHouse one of the 5 best new bands. Between 2017 and 2019, they released their self-produced EP "Middle of Somewhere" and their album "Hopes & Fears" and performed at festivals such as the Bitterroot Celtic Festival, Avery Fest and the Flathead Celtic Festival.

In October 2019 TopHouse moved to Nashville TN. In the lockdown year of 2020, TopHouse wrote and released their second album Snapshot. When Music City reopened in 2021, TopHouse was invited to be the house band for Tennessee Brew Works and began performing in and around Nashville. After a difficult year of waiting and hoping, TopHouse caught on, performing at events like the Local Show and embarking on their first official tours to Montana, Texas and California.

In 2022, pianist Andy LaFave joined TopHouse. Andy - an incredible songwriter and musician who regularly releases original music under his solo project Don't Dance - has performed with William and Joseph since childhood. With Andy's help, TopHouse are working on their latest music release and are ready to inspire the populace.
