Christmas show

After 2 sold-out concerts in 2024, the TORPEDO 2 will once again play their Christmas show shortly before Christmas Eve in the Theaterstübchen. The repertoire of the 2 TORPEDOS will be supplemented with some beautiful Christmas songs in the sound of the 50s to match the Christmas season. There are contemplative pieces as well as driving rock & roll.

"White Christmas" by Frank Sinatra, "Blue Christmas" by Elvis Presley, "Rudolph The Red Nosed Raindeer" by Dean Martin and "Mele Kalikimaka" by Bing Crosby will be performed alongside other driving classics from the 50s.

Tochi Torpedo and Karsten Köhler will be supported by Karsten Engel on drums and Frank Pecher on guitars, as they were at the two brilliant concerts in 2024. Also established in this constellation is the exceptional trombonist Andreas Schütz, who has forever secured the stage name VOODOO ANDIE in the rock & roll scene thanks to his exotic appearance.

TORPEDO 2 play AMERICANA.

AMERICANA refers to a style of music that takes North and South American rhythms and combines them with the rock & roll, country and Latin styles that were extremely popular in the 1950s.

AMERICANA also stands for the songs and sounds of American legends such as Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Frank Sinatra and Neil Diamond. In addition to the selected rock & roll classics, TORPEDO 2 & Friends have included American Christmas classics in the program. But "Süßer die Glocken nie klingen" will also find an atmospheric place. A few background stories about the songs, the musical guests and smaller show elements will round off the Christmas stage design of TORPEDO 2 - as already successfully tried and tested.

This musical line-up also brings back memories of the 80s/90s in Kassel, where the immensely popular bands of the performing musicians, such as Crazy Cats, Silver Surfer, Steppin' Out Blues-Band, Hugo's Rockhopser and Groove Juice, were a constant presence.
