TORPH

In the organizer's words:

The concept of the band TORPH goes back to the origins of fusion. At its core is the fusion of different musical styles. As the five musicians bring different musical backgrounds to the band anyway, this happens quite naturally with TORPH. An important link here is not least the band members' long-standing friendship, which has proved to be the ideal breeding ground for creative collaboration. The result is music that at times is characterized by earthy grooves and rhythmic filigree, at others by atmospherically charged melodic passages. The repertoire thus becomes a melting pot of the most diverse varieties of jazz, rock and funk. The band's first EP "Eponymous" was released in early 2023, followed by their second tour of jazz clubs throughout Germany in 2025.
