In the organizer's words:

Anti-feminist, right-wing populist and authoritarian movements are on the rise worldwide, in Europe and also in Germany. Democracy, equality and human rights are being openly called into question. The fight for self-determination and the rights of women, queer people and marginalized groups remains highly topical - and more urgent than ever.

How can feminist foreign policy provide orientation in these times? What does it mean for Germany and on the ground to stand up for equality, diversity and peace? What role does feminist foreign policy play in the day-to-day work of city administrations with their international partners? And above all: What can we all do in concrete terms to protect democracy and equality?

These questions are the focus of our town hall meeting.

We are looking forward to the diplomat Judith Hollis from the Federal Foreign Office, who will give a keynote speech with impulses for a feminist foreign policy in the current political context and then join Deniz Greschner (moderator of "Feel the Weibz"), Maresa Feldmann (Equal Opportunities Officer Dortmund) and Ayan Huseynova (City Diplomacy Officer, City of Dortmund) in a panel discussion.

The event will be moderated by Judith Schulte-Loh, known from WDR5.
