It is no exaggeration to say that TOXOPLASMA (photo) is still one of the most influential German punk bands from the 80s. With their unique, raw sound and uncompromising lyrics, they have had a lasting influence on the German-speaking scene. "Sounding like" is difficult with them because they are the band that is often used for comparison. In 1983, Aggressive Rockproduktionen (AGR) released the legendary self-titled TOXOPLASMA debut album, which is one of the most important German punk records of the time and has lost none of its topicality and relevance to this day.
With their last release "Köter", TOXOPLASMA not only astounded the critics, but also show no signs of fatigue live - in their 41st year of existence.

Founded in 1985, the EMILS were clearly influenced by American punk on their debut album. At that time, D.R.I had just become famous with their crossover style, which the Hamburg band - who, contrary to rumors to the contrary, had nothing to do with Slime - oriented themselves towards from then on. The Emils quickly became popular. Partly because they had German lyrics that were also very critical and direct and didn't mince their words. For example, they were directed against the church, neo-Nazis, nuclear power (Chernobyl had just exploded at the time), conformity and also against the stupidity in their own scene, which was expressed in the song "Dumm Punk".

TETZLAFF, a Braunschweig quartet that enriches punk rock with indie rock and a little pop without losing any of its toughness, has been on the road since summer 2022. They are one of those bands that don't party or sing about getting drunk, but rather sing and shout their view of the world into the microphone. The result is varied and intelligent music that gives listeners little time to take a breather. The band describes their music as North German punk rock.
