Author Anja Grevener reads from her novel "Dreams of Ashes and Iron" - a fascinating story about the Dortmund robber couple Johanna and Dolf Mohr.

The reading is embedded in a three-course menu inspired by the atmosphere of the book. Between the courses, the author will read from her work in three stages. An evening full of stories, enjoyment and atmosphere.

3-course menu:

Appetizer: Wild mushroom consommé with venison dumplings, vegetables and mushroom crostini // Main course: Westphalian pepper potthast 2.0 - braised beef shoulder in beet balsamic glaze with pepper bread sauce, beet cubes, pickled cucumber and potthuck // Dessert: Chocolate cake with cinnamon cherries, egg custard and lime cream

About the book "Dreams of ash and iron"

Johanna and Adolf Mohr, the protagonists, called Hanne and Dolf in the novel, really did exist. Dolf Mohr has gone down in history as the Robin Hood of the Ruhr Valley, and his wife Hanne supported him energetically and courageously, if not taking the initiative. The author recounts the life of this extraordinary couple, telling most of the story from Hanne's point of view. The author has created a captivating historical novel from the stories passed down orally and the facts documented at the time.

About the author Anja Grevener

Anja Grevener was born in 1977 in a small village near Menden in the Sauerland region. She has remained connected to this region with her books to this day and lives on the Ruhr Valley cycle path on the edge of the Sauerland. In addition to her two- and four-legged family, Anja Grevener's life revolves around letters, books, (b)red pencils and fiction. She not only writes mainly in the historical genre, but also works as an editor and freelance proofreader, supervising book projects and magazines for publishers and self-publishers.
