Travel doesn't play the guitar very well, nor can he really sing soooooo well. But that doesn't matter, because as an entertainer and solo entertainer, he dares to take to the microphone with his acoustic guitar and interprets his favorite songs sympathetically and with fervor. Without any musical training, he has managed to play in 2 cover bands (as a bass player) and is celebrating his 20th stage anniversary this year (2018). A 6-day interrail trip with guitar and sleeping bag in 2014 has finally allowed him to go solo. As "Surferboy", he embodies a relaxed, unaffected style. And precisely because the whole thing is not 100% perfect, it is really fun to listen to and almost automatically tempts you to sing along and celebrate. You can tell after the first few songs that Travel are passionate about what they do. Whether AC/DC, The Doors or Rio Reiser - the varied program offers songs for every taste and fires up every party and every campfire. And anyone who has heard him sing "The Power of Love" from Frankie Goes to Hollywood (purely acoustically, of course) at the end of a glittering high time party knows what magic a man with a guitar can unfold.
