Writing workshop for travel enthusiasts: stories from the road

Would you like to put your travel experiences into words and describe them to your readers in a sensual and vivid way?

In Sigrun's workshop, you'll learn how to bring locations to life and write captivating stories about life elsewhere.
In the first part, you will receive theoretical input on various narrative techniques and learn which structures work particularly well in building suspense.
In the second part, you can try out your new knowledge in practical writing exercises.
Afterwards, you will have the opportunity to read your story (on a voluntary basis) to the group and immediately receive initial, naturally appreciative feedback from the participants and Sigrun.

On this afternoon, all you need is a pen and paper (or cell phone or tablet) to travel the world.
The course is suitable for beginners and advanced students alike.

Vita:
Sigrun Dahmer, born in 1966, is a licensed writing consultant, author and rhetoric trainer. She studied German, English and Romance languages and literature in Cologne. In 2018, she completed a postgraduate course to become a writing consultant at the PH Freiburg and has also worked as a lecturer for creative and literary writing since then. She has published specialist books on communication and creative writing as well as various travel novels. Her own places of longing are mainly in the south. On her blog "besser lesen - besser schreiben" she comments on current trends and gives tips on how to communicate more successfully in everyday life and at work. Sigrun Dahmer is a member of the "Autorenforum Köln" and the "Mörderische Schwestern."
