TRETTMANN
NO MORE SORROW
Guys, I'm so sorry, but unfortunately I have to reschedule and postpone my upcoming January tour. However, I have good news for everyone in Cologne: We were able to fulfill the wishes of many fans and are moving the show from Düsseldorf back to Cologne. But not only that, we're also going bigger! To be honest, I'm looking forward to playing the biggest Trettmann show ever in the city where I've already experienced many extraordinary live moments.
Tickets already purchased for the concert in Düsseldorf remain valid and you will receive admission to the TRETTMANN concert in Cologne on December 19, 2024, where there will be a separate, exclusive standing area in front of the stage in the arena interior. If you are unfortunately unable to attend the concert in Cologne, please contact Eventim.
During the release of my last album, I started experimenting a lot in the studio and building up new structures. The main thing for me was to find people with whom I get on and who suit me. It took time, but the end result is that I now have - in my opinion - the best and most diverse team around me.
Even better, there are places I've spent parts of this summer where I've been more inspired and creative than ever before. And so I'm currently sitting in my apartment in Leipzig, working on the sketches I started there.
Even though I could easily release music before the tour, I've decided not to. I want to take more time to write the best music I've ever made. This also means that I'm paying more attention to detail than ever.
I've set new rules for the next chapter of my story. One of them is that you won't see me on stage again until I can play new tracks. I want to show you where I'm coming from, where I am and where I'm going.
In the meantime, I've finalized the schedule for next year. There are a few surprises in store, dates for new releases, some shows in the summer and a tour with old but above all new music in December 2024.
I hope you understand me and aren't disappointed because I have to change a plan again - you'll see that it's really worth it!
PS: I'm feeling better than ever!
Trettmann made a remarkable comeback with his album "Insomnia" at the beginning of 2023. This was followed by a sold-out tour and all the headline festival appearances in the summer. Now the Leipzig native has announced his big "NO SORROW" tour for winter 2024, which will also herald a new era for Trettmann.
You can look forward to new projects and a newly conceived stage show that is guaranteed to be thrilling! Trettmann grew up in the Fritz Heckert estate in what is now Chemnitz. The estate used to be the largest new housing estate in the GDR: a place that stood for progress and prosperity and was supposed to offer its residents social status and comfort. Even as a child, he was able to listen to the latest R'n'B and disco hits on West German radio due to the Heckert area's favorable altitude; later, he was fascinated by rap and breakdancing. Reggae and dancehall from Jamaica were added in the early nineties. Trettmann was a teenager when the Wall came down. His surroundings changed with the fall of the Wall. His neighborhood became a social hotspot, friends and acquaintances fell away around him. In the midst of the changing times, he discovered music as his personal escape route. He started organizing parties, moved to Leipzig to set up his own sound system and eventually started singing in German.
But despite the scene hype, the breakthrough would not come. 2017 was his personal turning point. Trettmann achieved his big breakthrough with the release of his second album #DIY. #DIY became a modern classic that overcame genre boundaries by combining dancehall, trap and grime elements. This unique style makes Trettmann one of the most sought-after artists in Germany to this day. His album "Trettmann", released in 2019, shot straight to number 2 in the German charts. After the Corona break and a total of three years off, Trettmann returned in 2023 with his album "Insomnia", which also marks the end of the joint era with KitschKrieg. In the album, Trettmann deals with the separation from his long-term partner.
It is about the end of a love affair, about sorrow and pain, but also about new beginnings. A new beginning also includes new music and a new live show, which you can look forward to in winter 2024!
