World premiere CD release
After their major international "25th Anniversary Tour" with over 60 concerts, the band triosence is releasing their 10th album "stories of life" on SONY Music Masterworks in fall 2025.
The new songs by pianist and bandleader Bernhard Schüler are personal life stories transformed into touching music.
He knows how to combine catchiness with musical depth and sophistication in a unique way.
Just like life, the new album combines lows and highs:
Tracks such as "Little Lost Wonder" and "Dear Rainer" deal with strokes of fate and loss. "Marakesh Swing" and "Tomato Party", on the other hand, are about exuberant, cheerful and funny moments.
The band's music combines genres such as jazz, pop, folk, Latin and world music to create unmistakable soundscapes.
Melody and the song are always the focus. The band therefore aptly describes its musical style as "songjazz".
Their concerts are a firework of rousing joy of playing, highly virtuoso playing, stylistically colorful and varied, contemplative and thoughtful to groovy and rocking. They also delight their audience with the band leader's humorous stories and anecdotes.
In a major feature, Stern called them "the new faces of German jazz and an example of musical trinity". The most important Japanese jazz magazine (Swing Journal) wrote about triosence as: "The piano trio that has wiped away our impression of stiff German jazz."
The fact that triosence can also inspire non-jazz listeners is also proven by the millions of streams on online music platforms - their songs have been listened to over 20 million times on Spotify alone.
