Prof. Dr. Christian Lammert works from a comparative perspective with a focus on North America. He received his doctorate from Goethe University Frankfurt/Main in 2002 and then moved to the John F. Kennedy Institute for North American Studies at the FU Berlin in 2010. Since 2012, he has been Professor of Political Science there, specializing in political systems in North America. He has published extensively on the topics of inequality, state-market relations, social and health policy, and crisis phenomena in developed democracies from a transatlantic perspective. His current research interests include income and wealth inequality in developed democracies and the way and extent to which developed welfare regimes redistribute economic resources through social and tax systems.
