One Lada + two mismatched teenagers = one big adventure: the unusual equation of a summer in the Wild East. Maik's summer vacation threatens to be the most boring of the whole class: His father is on a "business trip" with the secretary and his mother is in rehab for the umpteenth time. Even the pool is no fun on his own. But then Tschick suddenly turns up. Tschick, actually Andrej Tschichatschow, the new classmate, the Russian-German who has just emigrated with his family. Maik hadn't noticed much about his new classmate at school. He didn't talk much, and when he did, he made a fuss because he had fallen asleep in class with a wad of alcohol on the table. The blue Lada in which Tschick is standing in front of the garden fence is, of course, stolen. The two of them don't even have a driver's license. But what does that matter when the world is waiting for you. Destination: Wallachia!
