TUNKUY is the artistic project of the Mexican-Chilean producer Iván Jaque. His music combines Afro, dub, electronic elements and Latin American rhythms to create a unique soundscape.
The term TUNKUY (Mayathan) reflects his cultural roots and the musical fusion of traditions and styles. His debut album "Pulmari" describes the diverse landscapes of remote communities in South America and combines them with the ceremonial syncretism and pilgrimages of northern cultures.
TUNKUY (keyboard, dub-mixing) will be accompanied live by bass and percussion.
Support comes from PAUKEN & TROMPETEN (Barrio Katz & Barbarella), who will play a small cumbia and reggae selection.
Free admission. The event is sponsored by the Dresden Neustadt district council.
