Princess Turandot poses three riddles to anyone who asks her to marry them. Whoever can solve them can lead her to the altar. 💍 Whoever fails is beheaded. 🗡️ And so one suitor after another falls victim to the beautiful, bloodthirsty princess.
Until an unknown prince from a distant land appears to take on the seemingly hopeless tasks - despite all reason.

With its commedia dell'arte characters, Carlo Gozzi's play is one of the stories that has been retold time and time again - from Schiller's dramatic version to Puccini's opera 🎼 and numerous other interpretations.

The Cologne-based acting company Ensemble Integral is now returning to its roots with Gozzi's version and celebrating the play in an original, festive guise. 🎭 With a colorful production, the ensemble invites its audience to enjoy theater as an opulent feast. 🎉
