Silvan Strauss revives the art of analog and organic beatmaking. Hamburg-based drummer, beatmaker and producer Silvan Strauss, whose DIY breaks on TikTok have caused a sensation, is one of Europe's outstanding jazz drummers. His style moves effortlessly between the different styles of jazz and contemporary urban sounds.

Releasing his music on his own record label is something James has maintained and pushed throughout his career. It allows him to control every aspect of his music and legacy, and he oversees a back catalog that has now been played over 50 million times across all platforms. Further evidence of the infectious appeal James has across the industry is the long list of artists who have collaborated with him - from arena-filling superstars like Stormzy and Sam Smith to the likes of Herbie Hancock, Lang Lang, Marcus Mumford and Disclosure among many others. It is these collaborations, mixed with influences from artists such as Frank Ocean, D'Angelo, Erykah Badu and Robert Glasper, that have led to James developing a unique sound and style of his own and becoming one of the most interesting voices in British music.
