Two Strangers Trying Not to Kill Each Other

In the organizer's words:

The unique European film series "24FPS - Photography in Film" begins with the film "Two Strangers Trying Not To Kill Each Other" as a German premiere!

Thirty years after a chance meeting, Maggie and Joel, 75 and 84 years old, are still very much in love. But their relationship is not without complications. Bronx-born Joel Meyerowitz is a world-renowned photographer who has exhibited widely and published over 40 books. British-born Maggie Barrett is a talented but lesser-known artist and writer. Their relationship is strained and further strained when Maggie falls and breaks her leg and Joel becomes her nurse. In the shadow of mortality, each with a long and dramatic life behind them, the hard truths of their lives together provoke in Maggie and Joel an attempt to find a shared inner peace while there is still time.
