UKW Band

In the organizer's words:

The UKW Band mainly plays its own music: world music, folk and soundtracks. Music full of harlequinades, mischief and summer mood. Balkan rhythms, Latin American and African grooves, but also jazz improvisations, tango and waltzes.

The UKW Band:

Ulrich Kodjo Wendt is known for his film scores. Yogi Jockusch played with Achim Reichel, Abi Wallenstein and as principal percussion in "Tarzan" - Disney's musical.
Anne Wiemann (saxophone, flute, loops) composes theater and film music and plays solo performances. Sabine Braun plays her trumpet in a wide range of genres including church music, musicals, big bands, classical orchestra, theater and world music.
Arne Tingel Theophil always sings, plays and dances somewhere between green meadows and gloomy dives. Martin Friedenstab's fast-paced slide guitar playing and earthy solos reflect his roots in Mississippi blues.
