Ulrike Behring: SHOWTIME

In the organizer's words:

Who am I, have I been, do I want to be?

Senior citizens with dementia and/or physical limitations aged between 75 and 95 asked themselves this question, staged each other and created very experimental images of themselves.

The photo shoot took place as part of the painting sessions in the in-house day care center at the Münchenstift Hans-Sieber-Haus retirement home. Under the guidance of art therapist Ulrike Behring, residents from the care areas who are interested in painting meet weekly to create pictures using a wide variety of media and techniques on topics with a current or biographical background.

Several exhibitions have already been created in this way, including "Our daily bread", "The fairytale stage" and "In the course of time", which were displayed in the "Freiraum" gallery in the retirement home. In the current exhibition "Showtime", personality facets from punk to clown are presented and creatively acted out.

The shop window exhibition is illuminated daily from 8 am to 11 pm.
