The big wide world and the unknown can be quite big and wide and unknown. That can sometimes be intimidating - or even a little bit scary. But if you bravely go forward together step by step, just to the next corner and from there to the next and the next, you can discover all kinds of things, experience adventures and, looking back, realize how far you have come in the end.

Bernhard Studlar (*1972) was a dramaturge and assistant director at the Theater der Jugend in Vienna and studied theater studies, journalism and scenic writing. He now lives in Vienna and writes plays for young, adult and very young audiences - sometimes alone, sometimes in a team with Andreas Sauter. He has received awards for his work, including the Author's Prize of the Heidelberg Play Market 2001 and the Kleist Prize for Young Playwrights 2000.
