Umsonst & Drinnen Club: Black Dog

In the organizer's words:

Vocals, guitar, bass, keys and drums. Honest, without filters. Add southern rock, blues, a few dabs of soul or funk and you have a mixture that is as powerful as the song that gave the band from the Nuremberg/Fürth/Erlangen metropolitan region its name.

Singer Magda and the four instrumentalists Ulli, Martin, Christian and Christof dig up long-forgotten melodies, mostly still unknown secret treasures and the odd popular song and shape the pieces into their own melange. Heavy on the guitar, pearly on the piano, bass and drums push from behind and Magda's voice works all by itself.

The band's influences are easy to hear: Rock'n'roll, blues, country (without western), soul and funk become a stew that allows everything: singing along, dancing or just listening calmly...anything goes. Southern feel from the south of the republic, moving frontier with Franconian charm.
