Abschlusspodium: un_unterbrochen. Sprechen über rechte Gewalt.

In the organizer's words:

At the end of the series of events UN_UNTERBROCHEN. Talking about right-wing violence, the final panel discussion will take place at the Rautenstrauch-Jost Museum. Here, the continuities that connect the three acts from the film trilogy in Munich, Hanau and Halle, as well as the places we visited during the city tour, will be highlighted. A special focus is placed on the power of the narratives that develop around these acts of violence.

How are racism and anti-Semitism perpetuated in linguistic images and reports? What power do traditional media, films, podcasts and books have? Which voices are heard and which are silenced or ignored? And what consequences does this have for the work of state security agencies and the judiciary? What is necessary for those affected to start talking at all and what does it take for them to regain the power to interpret their own grief? How do we talk about right-wing violence and what does this do to us as a society?

The guests are:

  • Birgül Demirtaş (political educator, IDA NRW)
  • Kutlu Yurtseven (activist and artist, including Herkesin Maydani)
  • Kira Ayyadi (editor, Belltower News)
  • Julian Vogel (filmmaker EINZELTÄTER)
  • Moderation: Canan Turan (film scholar)

The closing panel will take place in the Kunsthalle of the Rautenstrauch-Jost-Museum.
