UNBREAK! Aufbrüche in die Versöhnung

In the organizer's words:

Let's imagine a happy ending! A choir of people whose voices have become fragile due to age, illness or transition sings and speaks about breaking and healing. In UNBREAK! - BREAKING INTO RECONCILIATION, *POLAR PUBLIK combines personal crises and social rifts with utopias, seeking hopeful narratives and conciliatory endings.

*POLAR PUBLIK is a community of artists from the genres of dance, theater, new music and visual arts who dedicate their transdisciplinary projects at the interface of art and science to current conditions and situations in which power and powerlessness become tangible. In doing so, they deal with the question of how the stories of those who are in the acoustic shadows, who are drowned out, pushed aside and not (supposed to be) perceived, can be captured.

In cooperation with the Sommerblut Kulturfestival, studiobühneköln, the Friedensbüro der Stadt Augsburg and the Forschungsinstitut Gesellschaftlicher Zusammenhalt, supported by the Kulturamt der Stadt Köln, Aktion Mensch, the Kunststiftung NRW, the Ministerium für Kultur und Wissenschaft NRW and the NRW Landesbüro Freie Darstellende Künste.
