Mirror Reflections

Works by Sungji Hong, Farzia Fallah, Cecilia Arditto Delsoglio UA, Pia Marei Hauser UA, Cinzia Nistico, Annie Hui-Hsin Hsieh and Jieun Jun

The starting point of the program are three works that flutist Pia Marei Hauser premiered in 2023 as part of the digital concert series ELLE - compositions that musically reflect aspects of the feminine in music In the two pieces with loop station, the flute ultimately looks at itself as if in a mirror: it multiplies itself through loops, merges with itself, becomes echo and shadow, and sometimes loses itself in its own sound space.
