The joint project of percussionist Sabrina Ma and violist Nikolaus Schlierf is a dense web of sound made up of poetry and virtuosity. Both musicians are robust and fearless, perform with both seriousness and lightness and, above all, celebrate the humanity that shines through the compositions. Faces is joyful, challenging and thoroughly rewarding.
