The two friends Ilse and Bill go fishing together at the lake. Day after day, they wait feverishly for the line to twitch for the first time. When Bill makes a wish after a strange catch, they both get caught up in a maelstrom of ever greater desires - one wish follows the next. But suddenly their friendship comes under threat and the two are faced with an important decision.

With wind, video and high waves, UNITED PUPPETS tell the story of the friends, exploring the inner workings of the turbulent spiral of desires of "bigger, faster, more" in a fairytale-like and richly illustrated way.
