With Philhellenia, the actress, director and author Antigone Akgün is bringing a new theater text on German-Greek relations to the stage on 13 May:
Celebrated in Weimar, despised by the Nazis: How was it possible that within just a few years, the image of the revered ancient Greeks as inventors of art, philosophy and democracy was replaced by that of the lazy Southerner to be subjugated? In her lecture performance, Greek-born Antigone Akgün explores this change - and the unresolved crimes against the people of Greece that it has led to.
