The "Magic Mountain" film series deals with sanatorium films. As the last film in the series, we are showing "Unsane" from 2023 by Steven Soderbergh in cooperation with the KoKi.
A young woman leaves her hometown to escape her past and starts a new job. However, when she is involuntarily detained in a psychiatric facility, she is confronted with her greatest fear - but is it real or just her imagination? Since no one seems to be willing to believe her and the authorities are unable or unwilling to help her, she has to confront her fears head on. Through different points of view, the movie asks questions about our view of reality and the system that is supposed to protect us.

The film will be shown in the original language with German subtitles. FSK: 16
The event is a cooperation with the Kommunales Kino.
