In the organizer's words:
"Who domesticated who here - the wheat us or us the wheat?" When a line of text like this becomes a catchy refrain, then only Unter anderem Max can be at work. The project is backed by a changing line-up led by singer-songwriter, guitarist and pianist Max Kühlem from Bochum.
The lyric comes from the new album 'Die Welt im Vorbeiziehen'. It was released at the end of March 2025, ten years after the debut "Unter anderem Max", which featured singer, multi-instrumentalist and songwriter Tom Liwa, among others. After the singles "Hier Oben" and "Für die Lohnarbeit" were released on Konstantin Wecker's Sturm & Klang label, all twelve new tracks have now been released on the Osnabrück label Timezone.
At the Oval Office, Unter anderem Max will play many of the tracks from the new album with a full band line-up, as well as older classics such as "Eventuell Jacques Brel" or "Katja", adaptations of poems and cover versions by Neil Young and Sufjan Stevens, among others.
