The Urania Summer Cinema is back - with hand-picked films, real conversations and perhaps the most beautiful movie theater in Cologne.
This is not a run-of-the-mill program, but cinema with attitude, heart and surprise.

Whether it's a cross-generational documentary, queer self-exploration or a cinematic journey through the universe of identity - we make people grin, swallow and talk about it. It's not just the film that's in the spotlight here - but also those who made it: Because many of the directors, producers and actors come along themselves to talk to you. Up close, honest, direct.

The films shown include "Just be who you are" (opening film of the Cologne Cinema Nights), the documentary "Anna and Grandma" (preview & premiere!), the very frank "Sexploration" and - also before the cinema release - the new film "U Are The Universe" - a journey to yourself and beyond.

All of this in the climate-neutrally cooled and beautifully restored Urania Theater - once the oldest cinema in Cologne-Ehrenfeld, today a place for magical film evenings without festival hype or commercial interruptions.
