Finissage: Detlef Waschkau - URBAN

The impressive works of Detlef Waschkau can be seen in the ARCHITEKTENKAMMER.NRW until the end of November. You are cordially invited to the finissage on November 27!

The Berlin-based sculptor and painter Detlef Waschkau's exhibition at the Chamber of Architects of North Rhine-Westphalia is dedicated to the traditional genre of the painted street scene in a variety of ways. Waschkau translates the familiar motif of life in the big city into the visual language of the 21st century and presents the viewer with a lively panorama that thematizes the permanent transformation and simultaneously increasing uniformity of metropolises.

The pictures, most of which are three-dimensionally carved out of wooden panels and show urban scenes from metropolitan areas, are presented in the foyer of the chamber under the title "URBAN".
