The talented songwriter Aniko Kanthak, alias "Ursi Pfennig", invites you to a special chanson concert evening together with her Grand Ensemble. Under the title "Ursi Pfennig and the forgotten songs", visitors can expect a musical experience that sheds new light on the timeless sounds and lyrics of unforgotten performers such as Hildegard Knef, Reinhard Mey, Udo Jürgens and Alexandra.

The concert offers not only a tribute to the great chanson artists, but also the presentation of Ursi Pfennig's debut album "Eine Frau". The songs have been specially arranged for the string ensemble and band and promise to touch the hearts of the audience.

In her music, Ursi Pfennig combines the tradition of old songs with tangible, profound lyrics. She embodies an authentic artistic figure who floats above things like a diva and captivates the audience. Her German songs move between lightness and melancholy and offer a subtle, ironic twist. Aniko Kanthak, the Cologne-based songwriter, singer and producer, is the creative genius behind Ursi Pfennig. In her search for a suitable sound for her songs, she was inspired by greats such as James Taylor and Joni Mitchell. Her aim was to create a beautiful, atmospheric soundscape that is folky, close and German-language without being profane or kitschy. "Kurz vor'm Schlager abbiegen" - this is how she describes her style, which combines nostalgic songs with a vocal color that offers more vibrato and less soul.
