Lectures, workshops: Recognizing sexism in the workplace and acting confidently
valente* at work - kick-off event: lecture, panel discussion, opening ceremony
Being overheard in a meeting, denied professional competence, but instead being scheduled to organize the farewell gift as a matter of course - sound familiar? We encounter sexist experiences in everyday working life all the time. And we don't even recognize most of them as such. And often we know even less how to react to them.
We counter this with valente* at work. Our events and workshops reveal the underlying structures and provide you with specific tools for individual situations. With this understanding and various options for action, we want to empower ourselves together and go through everyday (working) life with more confidence.
Experience the start of our event series with an inspiring keynote by Türkân Deniz-Roggenbuck on structural sexism and a panel discussion entitled "What I wish I had known before my career" with personal experiences from the world of work. Network with music and drinks at the end of the evening and discover empowering exchanges with others.
Who is the evening for?
For anyone who wants to explore gender equality in professional life, the challenges of starting a career and social change - whether you're just starting out or already in the thick of it.
